In Seattle

We made it! All of us! The gang’s all here:

It was just a quick little trip from Vancouver to Seattle, less than 45 minutes. It was a just a wee little prop plane…I’m not sure I’ve ever been on one before. Noisy! For a while during takeoff one of the body panels was really vibrating, and I was quite glad when it stopped because that would’ve been really annoying.

The weather was nice and clear — on the Winnipeg-Vancouver flight too. The scenery on this flight was just beautiful, flying past Vancouver Island and over Puget Sound.

So we got our bags and caught the shuttle to the hotel. Uncle Orville and Aunt Joan beat us there…the Moedts came down about an hour later. Everyone hung out in our hotel room for drinks and dinner.

It’s only 9:30 PM Vancouver time but 11:30 Winnipeg time, and it’s been a long day, so things are wrapping up. Breakfast is oddly early tomorrow morning – 5:30 to 9:30 – and we have to figure out plans for church and getting to the boat. We’re most of the way through the rum, and the group is most definitely in vacation mode!

  1. Thanks for the update. Hope you guys have a great time!

On a related note, Nik has stopped crying about being left behind. 😉

  2. As I write this, you are likely on the boat, getting ready to launch. I am very much looking forward to hearing/reading the adventures that are to come. You missed a great Rider game, though!

    Happy sailing!

  3. Great to hear your safe and sound, but can’t wait to hear about the cruise! The Rider game was awesome and Dad will be happy to know I wore my scrubs with pride!!
