Not a lot to say about this one. If I had the inclination, I could wax poetic about discarded beauty, and the death of all things, but I don’t, so I won’t. Spent some time arguing with colour management, trying to get this to display properly in non-colour-managed applications (a futile battle, I know).

10 seconds @ f/8, ISO 400. This is just outside our back door; the light is primarily from inside.

(Edit: On my home monitor, which is carefully calibrated, I can see the garbage can that these flowers are in, as well as some of the background. On my work monitor, which isn’t, I can just see the flowers in a field of black. There -is- a background here, I promise!)

  1. In case you care, I can see the background just fine on my dinky little laptop. I’m guessing that the picture is somewhere outside your back door in front of the barbeque. Either way, I like the picture.
