Christmas in Jellybean Park

I was out for a walk today, and took exactly two photos. This one, snapped while walking through Jellybean Park, is the better of the two (the other is an unremarkable graffiti shot).

This is the first time I’ve ever attempted serious distortion correction on a photo. I was using the 18-55mm lens at 27mm, and the barrel distortion on the vertical brick pillar was really obvious. It sort of ruined the whole right-angled composition, so I twiddled it in Photoshop. (Actually, it’s a little pincushioned now, but I’m not picky enough to try to get it ‘perfect’. Lenses are never perfect anyway.)
